No one ever believes me, but I used to be a soccer referee, way back in the ’90s. I played it a lot as a young girl and have some very happy memories of those times. When Fox Sports asked for a modified version of Apotek for their soccer—I mean, football—coverage, it felt like a full circle (pun intended) moment.
Apotek has been used for American football as well—a minor event known as Super Bowl LIX, featuring up-and-coming unknowns such as Tom Brady, Bradley Cooper, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
